...it is true. We are at any given moment experiencing nothing more than what we think!! When I first heard that, I couldn't believe it, it even made me feel quite uneasy and a little rebellious!! Did that mean I myself was responsible for the mess I was in?! But once my resistance eased, I had a good look at my life and I discovered for myself (again and again), that it really works that way!!
But every now and then it looks like there are some circumstances, where that doesn't seem to be the case, it feels too "real" and I am very quick in blaming something (or somebody *lol*) to make me feel "this or that" way..... The difference is though, that somewhere in the back of my mind I know, that it is not true and in reflecting (allowing my mind to calm down) I can eventually see it............ Even when it doesn't look that way at first, we are ALWAYS feeling our thinking, ALL of us, nothing more, nothing less. The way we think about the circumstances (or a person) determines how we feel about it. It is just the nature of how our mind works, always. The other day the following came to mind and it proves this fact quite well.........

Remeber the last time you lost something??? like your glasses, your keys, your purse/wallet or whatever.........
Think back to when you discovered you lost it and recall the overwhelming feelings of panic, fear and stress etc. that came with that discovery.
Think back to when you discovered you lost it and recall the overwhelming feelings of panic, fear and stress etc. that came with that discovery.
Then compare those feelings with the feelings you had before you discovered the loss.
While you weren't aware of the loss, you felt pretty normal despite the fact the object was already lost.......
Between losing the object and realizing it, you don't feel the typical feelings of loss!! You might even have enjoyed yourself, although "the loss" had already happened!!
The moment you discover it, your thinking "kicks in" and with it come all those feelings.........
Have you ever experienced such situation being aware of your thinking?!
Now comes the next step....... we can ALWAYS rely on the fact, that our thoughts (and therefore our feelings) change....... I will be talking about this next time ;-)
For now I wish you "happy observing"....... have a look if you can catch yourself doing it (feeling your thinking).
And I would love you to share your discoveries with me ;-)
